Welcome to Lighthouse Christian Academy, a vibrant homeschool cooperative that began as the Lighthouse Gang, comprising four families seeking to forge friendships. Today, Lighthouse Christian Academy has grown into a close-knit community of over 130 homeschool families who come together weekly to embark on a diverse range of educational opportunities. Rooted in Biblical principles, our mission is to foster a safe, nurturing, and joyous environment where friendships flourish, and learning thrives. At Lighthouse Christian Academy, parents play an integral role, with one parent or guardian actively participating each week. Our cooperative offers a variety of involvement options tailored to diverse talents and abilities, from teaching classes and assisting teachers to lending organizational skills and nurturing creativity in curriculum development and artistic pursuits. Each contribution made by parents is valued, impactful, and vital to the seamless functioning of our cooperative.

Lighthouse Christian Academy is a cooperative community of homeschool students and their parents. Originally begun, as Lighthouse Gang, with four families as an opportunity to build friendships, Lighthouse Christian Academy has expanded to involve over 120 families who meet on a weekly basis to engage in a variety of educational opportunities. Our organization strives to follow Biblical principles and provide a safe, fun, and loving environment for friendships and learning.

Lighthouse Christian Academy (LCA) is a parent-involved cooperative. One parent or guardian is required to be a part of LCA each week. There are a variety of opportunities for parental involvement that span various aptitudes and abilities. Some of these opportunities include:
  • Teaching classes or serving as a helper or teacher’s aide in classes from Nursery – 12th grade.
  • Providing organizational skills by coordinating classrooms and serving in our supplies and resource room.
  • Utilizing creative or visionary talents in curriculum development and in our artistic and educational programs.
  • Providing a safe and stable environment throughout the facility.
Each service provided by a parent or guardian is appreciated, significant, and vital to the smooth operation of Lighthouse Christian Academy.

Students who attend Lighthouse Christian Academy have the opportunity to learn from skilled and caring teachers while building relationships with other students. A student may join LCA when entering 1st – 12th grade. An exceptional nursery and educational preschool, managed by LCA, is available for the younger siblings of LCA members.

Our elementary level classes include the following subjects: History, Science, Art, and Music. Each grade has a separate classroom, and the subject material is comprehensive and appropriate for the grade level. Every effort has been made to allow the students to develop a love for learning by providing interesting study material and incorporating visual, auditory, and kinesthetic educational styles.
Lighthouse Christian Academy is recognized for producing a full-scale musical theater production each year involving our elementary students. Our musicals are performed on stage in front of several hundred people each spring. Many Jr. High and Sr. High LCA students contribute to the musical by designing, building, and painting the sets, and by operating the lighting and sound systems. We are pleased and grateful to be able to present these musicals free of charge to all who would like to attend.
Jr. High and Sr. High students encompass a wide range of developmental aptitudes and desires, and LCA attempts to address those needs by providing upper-level students the opportunity to choose from 50 different class options!
